Things to Do

You can leave from your doorstep and hike to Pincushion Mountain or the Superior Hiking Trail.  The mountain overlook is about a 3-mile round trip (and the last half is downhill!). 

For the less adventurous (or for a break after your hike), we have a seating/picnic area with a gas grill and a fine view of Lake Superior. 

In the evening, you might enjoy sitting around a small campfire along the creek.

Beyond the motel, there are almost unlimited things to do in the area.  The Grand Marais Area Tourism Association has created a website that does a better job of providing this information than I ever could, so here's a link to them.
